Trek For Vets started as a simple idea: trek 200 miles to raise money for veterans. But since it began, it’s grown into something bigger.
In May of 2025, a U.S. Reconnaissance Marine embarked on a challenging 200-mile trek across the state of Michigan. The primary objective was to raise awareness and support for veterans throughout the state, with a fundraising goal of $222 per mile. The funds raised will provide crucial assistance to veterans in crisis, including legal, mental, physical, and housing support. The journey started on the morning of May 15th at The Boulevard Inn & Bistro in Saint Joseph, and concluded on the morning of May 26th, Memorial Day, at 800 S Main Street in Royal Oak, coinciding with the Memorial Day Parade.
Each day of the 12-day trek covered approximately 15–20 miles, with checkpoints every 5 miles.
What’s next? In 2026, Trek For Vets will step off for a 500 MILE trek this time. Sign up and stay tuned for more information.

We are committed to establishing trusted communication channels within the tactical community—spaces where stories can be shared without fear of judgment or consequence. Through this network, we aim to build a genuine tribe that stands shoulder-to-shoulder, reducing the time individuals spend in isolation and replacing it with connection, trust, and purpose. Now, we’re taking that mission into action in a new way. We are launching a program to fund treks that pull veterans out of isolation and into community—shared experiences that challenge the body, open the mind, and reconnect the heart. Along the way, we’ll also cover meals for participating veterans, removing every barrier to engagement and ensuring no one is left behind. These treks aren’t just about the miles traveled. They’re about the conversations had, the laughter shared, and the bonds built in places far from the noise of daily life. The Trek is not just about physical fitness—it’s mental resilience, emotional support, and the power of belonging.
